Existing claims of Disability Living Allowance for children aged 15-17 years of age will gradually transfer over to Child Disability Payment by spring 2022. The remainder of claims are expected to transfer by spring 2023.
Parents/Carers will be contacted at the time when this transfer process will be carried out for their child. You will not need to re-apply and payments will remain the same during transfer. Your payments will then be from Social Security Scotland instead of the Department for Work and Pensions.
Rules are different for those on Disability Living Allowance age 18 and over.
