Carer Additional Person Payment

In addition to the Scottish Carer Supplement, a new Carer Additional Person Payment has been introduced for those caring for more than one disabled person.

Carer Support Payment

The replacement benefit for Carers Allowance in Scotland. If you care for someone at least 35 hours a week and they get certain disability benefits.

Income Support

Income Support is a low income/capital benefit for certain carers who don’t need to apply for Universal Credit.

Scottish Carer Supplement

You automatically qualify if you have entitlement to payments of Carer Support Payment.

Universal Credit

Universal Credit can contain a Carer Element even when there is no Carers Support Payment award.

Young Carer Grant

Annual payment from Social Security Scotland for those age 16-19, caring 16 hours a week for a person/people on qualifying disability benefits.
