Funeral Support Payment is a Social Security Scotland payment to pay towards some funeral costs for the person responsible for the costs per the following criteria:
- You must live in Scotland
- The claimant or partner has certain benefits or tax credits
- The person who died lived in the UK the funeral is being held in the UK or in some circumstances in the EU, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway or Switzerland.
- This can be claimed from when the person has died, until 6 months after the date of their funeral.
